What happens during an EmSculpt session?
During your session, you lie comfortably on the table. Your provider straps the EmSculpt device to the targeted area and begins your treatment.
Your treatment lasts 30 minutes. You experience a cycle of muscle contractions that alternate between rapid and slower, more powerful contractions during that time.
At first, the contractions can feel intense. But your provider begins at a low setting and gradually increases it to ensure your comfort. After your session, you can go back to your daily routine.
Though you don’t need to take time off to recover, you might have sore muscles afterward, just like you would after a hard workout.
When will I see the results of my EmSculpt treatments?
The Adult and Pediatric Dermatology team usually recommends a series of four sessions, scheduling two treatments over two weeks. Most people feel the difference after those four sessions, but you might need to schedule more to improve your results.
Fat loss with EmSculpt is permanent, as long as you don’t regain the lost weight. You can only maintain your improved muscle tone by following a regular exercise plan.
Just like the muscle mass you gain at the gym, the muscles eventually weaken and lose mass if you stop working out. However, you might be able to maintain your muscle results with occasional EmSculpt treatments.
